This is a story of sixteen-year-old Nick Twisp who is living with his mother after their parents separated. On the occasion of camping in Ukiah, Nick meets an attractive girl named Sheeni and immediately falls for her. Nick plans how to find a job in Ukiah for his father and then moves to live with him and get closer toSheeni.
